surfers paradise
Thursday flew to Surfers Paradise after work to support a dear friend / trainer / gym instructor on her completion of the Youth of Sydney Charity cycle event.
Stayed at the 5 star luxury Q1 resort which is the tallest building on the gold coast. Our suite was located on level 62 which was awesomeeeeeee! Our apartment had 180 degree views which was breath taking. Made you not want to leave the apartment.
Because we were soo high up our constant view was the blue ocean.

CYCLE EVENT
Took a bus down to sea world where the cyclists finished up. It was soo hard to spot M as there were 100 cyclists in total and were all wearing the same thing. I spotted her through my lens and captured some great shots of her riding past.

BEACH
Didnt get to tan as much.. it wasn’t as hot as we hoped it to be. However the water was beautiful! It was soo warm and managed to get dumped by waves as the ocean kept breaking early.. haha Lots of fun! Swam at the resort pools and jumped in the spa which was relaxing ^_^.
SHOPPING
M being the gym instructor and fitness fanatic. We power walked 6km to the mall as we weren’t allowed to catch transport! “Instructors Orders”. Got blisters on my foot from damn thongs haha! I just don’t know how she managers to walk after a week of intense cycling?
Got to the mall and came out with hardly anything other than Lorna Jane gym gear and a work dress which was good for my pocket. M & J are queen shoppers! M spent $1000! in 3hours!!!
Nike runners free 3.0, nike winter jacket, 2XU triathalon / cycle gear and jacket, heels, adidas dress and hoodie, lorna jane socks and singlets, kookai tops – HOLY MOLY!
The views from your suite looked beautiful, especially the night lights

I stayed at the Q1 as well when I went to surfers paradise at the beginning of this year. How good was the view aye?
The best part about q1 was Cold Rock was literally downstairs. I didn’t end up swimming at the beach haha the pools at the resort were good enough!
